      When: March 19th at noon Where: Highland United Methodist Church (1901 Ridge Rd.) THIS IS A NEW LOCATION FOR SOME OF OUR EVENTS. Cost: Free (bring your own lunch; League will provide some snacks and drinks) The public is welcome to attend. League members are encouraged to bring friends! As the 2020 election cycle ramps up, sharpen your fact-checking skills and be prepared to spot biased news coverage, deep fake images and videos, and more. This LWV-Wake Timely Topics event will be led by Jenny Dale, Associate Professor and Information Literacy Librarian at UNC Greensboro's University Libraries. Jenny has an MS in Library Science from UNC Chapel Hill and worked as a librarian at Kansas State University before joining UNCG's library faculty in 2010. She has taught source evaluation techniques to audiences ranging from middle schoolers to college students to UNCG alumni. FAQs What are my parking options at the event? Free on-site parking.
